life in vogue

The 2018 ‘Life in Vogue’ project with the iconic Vogue Magazine prompts reflection upon the way of living the contemporary office. Muller Van Severen started by unraveling the space and only keeping its true soul: the content of the cupboard, filled with books, magazines, notebooks and other inspirations. They set up the space as a collage, cutting and pasting a selection of their work in the space, and adding spaciousness by only highlighting the plinth in bright red. This way the furniture and the space around it are connected, as a 3D painting.

Muller Van Severen then selected a few of their typical multifunctional works, combining several functions in one piece of furniture. Their ‘writing desk + low table + lamp’ combines no less than 3 functions, inviting the user to work, read, and have a seated meeting around the low table. The ‘wire s#9 ‘ is a library and a place to relax and even snooze, as they believe that relaxation is an important part of a productive working day. The installation was on display at the Vogue offices in Milano during Milan Design Week in 2018.
