Muller Van Severen have designed a cabinet series called 'Bridges' for BD.  As one project inspires the next, a seamless bridge is forged between their creative realms. Following their design for the Bitossi vase collection Onda, Muller Van Severen designed a series of cabinets. ​
​​​Imagine a cabinet transcending its function to embody sculpture, even architecture, through the manipulation of its base. Three different units with the same dimensions in terms of footprint, but varying in height and each with a distinct cutout, lay the groundwork for exploring the essence of volume. Elevating the body in three unique ways, these openings sculpt three distinct silhouettes, supported by legs that dance with space and light. A bridge emerges beneath the units, connecting one foot to another, while freeing room for light to playfully escape between the legs.
​​In this narrative of connection and transformation, the cabinet evolves into a pedestal, a sculpture, even a miniature building. It becomes a canvas for architectural experimentation, where light and space intertwine in a captivating dance. With each new perspective, the lines blur between furniture and art, challenging conventions and inspiring new possibilities. The cabinets are available through BD Barcelona.
